South Beach Launches Grand Art Exhibition in Kuta

KUTA, Bali (BPN) – Following the opening of the international flight to Bali on February 4, 2022, South Beach holds an art exhibition in collaboration with three well-known national artists with the theme #KutaKembali.

“The background of this event is that we want to revive Bali tourism, especially in Kuta after a drastic slump due to the pandemic, through a collaboration with artworks from Bali and nationally,” said Kanya Paramita, as Marketing Communication for Discovery Mall Bali South Beach, on Friday.

The exhibition presents Andre Yoga, a Balinese artist with a unique impressionist style with Balinese environment and culture as the theme.

Then the second is Abenk Alter, an artist, and musician from Jakarta whose work is always imaginative and expressionist.

And the last is Darbotz, who is known as a street mural artist from Jakarta whose work has been acknowledged on various Indonesian art platforms.

The three artists interpret the #KutaKembal (Kuta is back) theme promoted by South Beach, exhibited with digital prints measuring about 50 square meters each, making this collaboration the largest outdoor exhibition in Kuta.

In addition, from 5 February to 27 March 2022, South Beach also holds Ruang Baur Seni: Fraksi Epos. This art exhibition presents six exhibition gallery spaces, one main art stage, three art collaboration rooms, and 100 artists who are ready to showcase their best artworks in Bali.

The six main exhibition gallery spaces are Cakravala, PinkyGurl (Macan Studio), Suksma Bali, Due Hatue, Yayasan Peduli Setan, and Black Menu.

“Through this art exhibition, South Beach wants to be a creative industry for young artists who want to continue their work. In addition, (South Beach) aims to be a new modern creative hub in Bali which is a destination for young artists and creative industries to showcase their work,” Kanya explained.

This event is also supported by the Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel, the first five-star hotel in Kuta, with a magnificent Royal Indonesian architectural style, right in front of Kuta beach.

And supported also by SoKuBe, a beachfront bistro right next to the South Beach building that provides a relaxing experience in enjoying an unparalleled sunset view.

South Beach presents the concept of a modern retail and food & beverage center, with a magnificent architectural appearance, a building with ceiling height of up to 12 meters that provides a new experience in the lifestyle sector in Kuta.

Located right in front of Kuta Beach, South Beach will soon serve visitors in 2022, with bistros, coffee shops, and a world-class beach club.
