KUTA, Bali (BPN) – Seminyak Village Mall holds an art exhibition entitled 7 Miracle Art Painting & Sculpture Exhibition, as a form to support local and national artists. In collaboration with Gallery Zen 1 Kuta, Heartlab Bali, Titian Art Space, and supported by Bali Tourism Office, the exhibition takes place at Seminyak Village 1st floor, from 7 May to 7 June 2021, from 11 am – 7 pm.
“This event is special because even in the midst of a pandemic, fellow artists are still working and the artworks at this exhibition are also very inspiring,” Head of Bali Tourism Office Putu Astawa said at the opening on Friday, 7 May 2021.
Putu Astawa explained the importance of Balinese painting for tourism because it introduced Bali to the world years ago.
“We really support this event because painting is one of the epicenters of Bali’s tourism. The forerunner of tourism started with artists in Ubud such as Blanco and other artists. They introduced Bali to the world,” he explained.
This exhibition displays artworks from 7 artists from Bali, Yogyakarta, and also from International Artists, namely Hari Prast, Mahendra Mangku, Nyoman Sani, Satya Cipta, Sugiri Willim, Syahrizal Pahlevi, and Wolfgang Widmoser.
Previously, Seminyak Village had held art exhibitions every month to maintain the preservation of Bali through art and to stimulate artists, especially those in Bali, to continue working in a very difficult time.
The painting exhibition is hoped to become a new space for artists to showcase their works during this difficult time.
