Denpasar, Bali (BPN) – The 2018 regional election (Pilkada) was simultaneously held throughout the country on Wednesday, June 27. The gubernatorial election in Bali followed by two pairs of candidate; I Wayan Koster – Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardana Sukawati (Koster-Ace) and IB Rai Dhamawijaya Mantra – Ketut Sudikerta (Mantra – Kerta).
The quick count result based on of Saiful Mujani Research & Consulting (SMRC) version, which has reached 100 percent of vote counting at 5:00 P.M, Wayan Koster and Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardana Sukawati won the election with 58 percent of the vote compared to their rival which earned 42 percent.
In front of journalists at the office of PDIP Party of Bali, Wayan Koster revealed the excitement for the victory, and showed his gratitude to Balinese people who have voted for him at the election.
“It is part of the team work as well as all party cadres and parties that endorse us. This is a victory to all of us. The victory for the people of Bali,” said Koster.
However, Koster said that he still have to wait for the official real count result by Election Commission (KPU) of Bali to be completed in one or two days ahead.
A number of agendas also will be prepared by Wayan Koster after the real count. He will soon forms a team to realize the vision and mission after sworn as Bali Governor for 2018-2023 period.
