DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – One of Bali’s best hair beauty centers, New Melati Salon, celebrated its 45th anniversary that falls on April 21, 2023, through social activities by providing free hair cuts for 100 cleaning crews in Denpasar.
The event, which took place on Thursday (20/4/2023) at Lumintang field, also included the distribution of 200 staple food packages to the cleaning crews.
“We start with social service to 100 Cleaning Crews, and then it is continued on the second day with a motivational activity for the internal team,” said Swan Dewi Sekar Kusumasari, owner and Art Director of New Melati Salon.
Swan Dewi explained that the beauty shop, which was founded in 1978, now has three branches, namely on Jalan Ahmad Yani Utara, Denpasar, and the second branch was opened in 2011 on Jalan Badak Agung, Denpasar.
After going through the pandemic, New Melati Salon has again expanded by opening a third branch in the Jimbaran area.
“At the beginning, all services were still traditional and carried out independently, now New Melati has developed with a total of 89 employees and continues to update skills,” she said.
The business that started as a hair beauty shop has now expanded into a lifestyle center. It is proven that its newest branch in Jimbaran is not only a hair treatment, but also equipped with other facilities such as a cafe, boutique, and wellness center.
“We hope that in the future we can expand the business to other lifestyles such as skincare and pass it on to the next generation,” said Swan Dewi
Meanwhile, Gede Sartana, Business Development Manager for New Melati Salon, said that regarding their current marketing strategy, New Melati is always based on data from the field.
“We collect internal data from guests, data on competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, and data from social media,” he said.
