DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – Bali’s economic recovery has had a positive impact on many sectors. Such as the Muslim wear, which continues to increase ahead of the holy month of Ramadan. The latest, Kimmyra, a luxury female Muslim apparel opened its first offline store in Bali offering high-quality products.
Eri Kusmiati, the owner of Kimmyra said, with nearly 30 years of experience in garment exporting to Australia, Europe, United States, she is able to develop the quality needed for products at Kimmyra.
In addition, Kimmyra also presents its signature printing, design and is available for customized requests, especially for the Mukena – loose-sized clothing that shows only the face and hands of Muslim women.
“We accept orders of Custom Mukena. It can be filled with the buyer’s name or for a wedding with the bride’s name. In addition, we create the motif design on our own, so it would not be found in other stores,” she said at the Grand Opening of Kimmyra HQ on Jl. Purba Indah No. 14, West of Denpasar, Sunday (3/19/2023).
Eri explained, currently Kimmyra has also exported Muslim wear abroad, such as to Brunei Darussalam. According to her, the outlook of the Muslim apparel business in Bali is promising considering that there are not many similar shops with a quality of the middle-upper class market.
Besides, the opportunity to expand to the tourism industry is also open, especially since the number of Muslim tourists both domestic and foreign visiting Bali is quite high.
“We also produce swimwear and resort wear for Muslims. So Muslim female tourists who want to go to the beach can come here because sometimes it’s hard to find (Muslim wear stores) in the Kuta area,” she explained.
Eri explained that currently, Kimmyra sells around 50 items. Apart from Mukena, Kimmyra also sells casual Muslim wear, Muslim swimwear, Muslim resort wear, and various accessories.
The Grand Opening of Kimmyra HQ was also filled with a fashion show event for female Muslim clothing, themed Imprimist.
“We showcase (Kimmyra products) Muslim swimsuits, Muslim resort wear, Muslim casual wear, holiday clothes, and Mukena,” she concluded.
Apart from the fashion show, the event which was attended by dozens of people was also filled with Beauty Demo, Styling Class, and door prizes for visitors.
