DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – Indonesian Chef Association (ICA) held Regional Conference (Musda) IV on Friday, August 5, 2022, at Mediterranean Bali HQ, Jl Hayam Wuruk, Denpasar. The musda re-elected Chef I Gede Putu Hendra Mahena as Chair of ICA Bali for the 2022-2027 period.

Previously, Chef Hendra Mahena was also trusted as the Chair of ICA Bali for the 2017-2022 period at the Musda III, March 2017.

Chef Hendra Mahena expressed his respect and thanked his fellow chef for trusting him to lead ICA Bali for the next 5 years.

 “From the bottom of my heart, I thank you all who have trusted me to Chair ICA Bali for the second period. Hopefully, I will be able to carry out this responsibility and of course, I hope for input and synergy from all parties,” Chef Hendra said.

Related to the work program, Chef Hendra said that he will focus on selecting those who have the responsibility and commitment to the association, to be included on the new board of ICA Bali for the period 2022-2027.

“In the meantime, I am focused on the new board. Commitment to advancing the association and serving the association are the main things. Then I will carry out internal consolidation for the betterment of the association,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Committee for the conference Chef Made Sukarmajaya said, the Musda is held once in 5 years, to elect the new Chairman of ICA Bali.

“This is our routine agenda every 5 years. The agenda is to choose the Chairman of ICA Bali for the next 5 years and this time there is only one candidate for Chair, namely Chef Hendra Mahena,” said Chef Sukarmajaya.

He hopes that under Chef Hendra’s leadership, the ICA Bali can be more solid, beneficial, and dignified in front of the community in Bali, and Indonesia in general.

Musda IV ICA Bali was also attended by the Head of the Bali Tourism Office Tjok Bagus Pemayun, Head of the Bali’s Public Vocational Training Center (BLK) Juliawati, CEO of Medi Group Bali Anak Agung Gede Abdiarta, ICA BPP representative Chef Komang Adi Arsana, and representatives of ICA BPC board throughout Bali.
