Four Points By Sheraton Bali, Ungasan Hosts A Jamu-making

MANGUPURA, Bali (BPN) – In celebration of International Forest Day, Four Points by Sheraton Bali, Ungasan hosted a Jamu-Making Class, a unique experience designed to highlight the role of forests in sustaining life and well-being.

Opened to both hotel guests and the public, this event embraces the art of crafting jamu, Indonesia’s ancient herbal remedy.

Jamu, a traditional Indonesian herbal drink, is made from natural ingredients sourced from forests—roots, leaves, spices, and flowers. This time-honored practice reflects a responsible and sustainable way to use nature’s gifts.

By hosting this class, Four Points by Sheraton Bali, Ungasan encourages participants to explore the rich connection between forests and well-being.

During the class, participants learned about the history and benefits of jamu, how to select the right ingredients, and the traditional methods of preparation.

The session was guided by experts who shared insights into Indonesia’s rich herbal traditions and their connection to natural conservation. Guests also have the chance to taste and take home their own handcrafted jamu.
