BingBong Bali.

KUTA, Bali (BPN) – Since opening in August, BingBong Bali has been working hard to offer sweet-toothed holidaymakers more than just frozen dairy deliciousness. Guided by the tagline ‘where happiness happens,’ the dessert cafe’s dance-along sessions, instagrammable interiors, and late-night opening hours have made it a hit with Kuta’s party crowd.

BingBong Bali serves up house-made sweet treats in a party-like setting inspired by Bali’s original holiday hot spot

Ice Cendol, Ice Teler, Kintamani Coffee, and Bloody Vanilla (vanilla spiked with pomelo) are just a few of the locally-inspired gelato flavors you might find displayed out front.

“Our pastry chefs make everything fresh in our own kitchen at the back and every month we introduce at least three new creations,” Kresna Sari, BingBong owner explained.

BingBong’s Double Dip BengBeng and Black Mamba have become signatures of BingBong’s Gelato. Double Dip BengBeng made with real Beng Beng wafers, it’s a rich and creamy scoop reminiscent of salted caramel.

Other highlights include the Gelato Cotton Candy, a decadent cup-full decorated with marshmallows, jelly sweets, cookies and chocolate; and the Bingshakes, pimped-up milkshakes topped with chocolate, whipping cream, Kitkat chunks, marshmallows, jellybeans, and more.

Fresh fruit smoothies, juices, soft-serve ice cream, American-style cookies, waffles, and hot drinks, including a full range of coffee, also feature on BingBong’s menu.

For customers who want to linger a while, there’s a cozy inside space with counter-style seating and air-conditioning. Retro neon signs, exposed light bulbs, and brightly colored wall murals make for the perfect selfie or ‘wefie’ backdrop.

With a selection of photo props that includes ’80s wigs, glittery sunglasses, and a retro yellow telephone hanging on the wall, it’s fast becoming one of Bali’s Instagram destinations.

“I wanted people to enjoy the experience of BingBong as well as the desserts and drinks. Besides also to showcase local Indonesian desserts and ingredients in BingBong’s ever-evolving range of gelatos and sorbets,” Kresna said.
