BALI (BPN) – Tripadvisor has once again placed Bali among the world’s most popular destinations where this time Bali ranks 2nd in the annual Travelers’ Choice Award for Destinations. This achievement placed Bali above London and Paris, which are ranked third and fifth.
As cited from The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy news release, Minister Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno appreciated this achievement which means Bali is still at the top of mind for tourists travel.
“Bali has gone up two positions, from fourth in 2022 to second in 2023, above London in third and Paris in fifth,” he said on Tuesday (24/1/2023).
Sandiaga explained that the indicators for the Travelers’ Choice Award for Destinations were based on the quality and quantity of reviews during the period of November 2021-October 2022.
In addition to the global rankings, there are also sub-categories of accommodation, restaurants, and other interesting things to do.
The minister hoped that other destinations in Indonesia could be included in the list of the most popular destinations for tourists.
“We hope destinations in Indonesia can reach the first place as the world’s popular destinations in the following years,” he said.
