DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – Deputy Chairman of Bali COVID-19 TAsk Force Dewa Made Indra announced 20 new confirmed cases including one foreigner as of Thursday, June 4, bringing the total number to 510.

“The 19 new cases from Indonesia citizens consist of two returning migrant workers (PMI) and 17 transmitted locally,” Dewa Indra said in Denpasar, Thursday.

Dewa Indra also announced 15 new recoveries, bringing the total patients that have recovered to 364.

“While active cases amounting to 141. The patients are being treated at eight hospitals and quarantined in Bali,” he explained.

Dewa Indra said that local transmission has now reached 236 cases. Thus, the community is suggested to increase their discipline in implementing the efforts to tackle the spread of the virus.

While the Government of Indonesia recorded 585 new confirmed cases as of Thursday, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country to 28,818.

The government spokesperson for COVID-19 Achmad Yurianto also announced 486 new recoveries, bringing the total number to 8,892.

While for the death toll, Yuri announced 23 deaths, bringing the total fatalities from COVID-19 to 1,721.
