DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – Deputy Chairman of Bali COVID-19 Task Force Dewa Made Indra announced 11 new recoveries as of Saturday, May 16, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 243.

“There are 11 additional recoveries today, consist of two Indonesia Migrant Workers (PMI) and nine Non-PMIs,” Dewa Indra said in his official statement in Denpasar, Saturday.

Besides, Dewa Indra also announced three new confirmed cases, bringing the total number to 346.

“There three new confirmed cases, all of them are local transmission cases,” he said.

Dewa Indra explained the number of confirmed patients under treatment amounting to 99. They are being treated at eight hospitals and quarantine sites in Bali.

“Most of the confirmed cases are from imported cases, while local transmission cases amounting to 135,” he continued.

Nationally, the Indonesia Government recorded 529 new confirmed cases as of Saturday, bringing the total number to 17.025.

The government spokesperson for COVID-19 Achmad Yurianto also announced 108 new recoveries bringing the total patients that have recovered to 3,911.

“While the death toll has reached 1,089 after 108 additional deaths today,” Yuri said in Jakarta, Saturday.
