Bali Coronavirus Update: 19 Cases, 2 Recovered

DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – Bali COVID-19 task force confirmed nine new cases in Bali on Monday, 30 March 2020. In total, the number of coronavirus positive patients in Bali reached 19.

While 146 people are recorded as patients under surveillance (PDP).

“There are nine additional cases, consisting of one foreign national and eight Indonesians. Of the eight Indonesians, three were tested positive due to local transmission. While the other five cases were infected from outside Bali,” said Chairman of Bali COVID-19 Task Force Dewa Made Indra, in his official statement on Monday.

Dewa Made Indra also delivered good news, that two patients are recovered of the coronavirus. “Those who have recovered are already preparing to go home,” he explained.

Related to the local transmission, Dewa Made Indra continued, the Bali Covid-19 Task Force is preparing a map of the cases in Bali.

Thus, Dewa Made Indra emphasized the importance of the community to follow social distancing recommendations.

Meanwhile, those who have just returned from abroad and from other regions in Indonesia to carry out self-quarantine at home for 14 days.

“We also ask the public to continue to follow the government public advisory and to do social distancing, restrict physical and outside activities,” he said.
