KUTA, Bali (BPN) – Giffard as one of the syrup producers from France since 1885, gathered some of the best bartenders and baristas from Bali to compete in order to answer the challenge of The Giffard Sober (Not So Sober) Challenge at Lxxy Legian, on Friday, July 27.
“This event is a continuation of the Giffard event which was previously held in Jakarta on July 24. The competition aims to find The Best Bartender in Bali which will become Guest Bartender in Thailand,” said D’Agisna Ramdhani as representative of East Sober Society – Bali.
Following the online selection, 20 participants from 63 bartenders and baristas from various top bars in Bali, were selected to take part in this challenge of making the Low ABV cocktail.
The competition was tight and won by Wira Susana (Ayana Resort & SPA, Jimbaran), awarded ticket to Bangkok, Cash, Certificate and Bar Tools.
“The assessment for this competition is not only from the taste of the mixed drink, but also based on the skills, appearance and presentation techniques to deliver the story line of the cocktail they make, so that the winner deserve The Best Bartender that we choose based on those requirements ,” said one of the judges Agung Prabowo.
