DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – One of the biggest and most consistent reggae festivals in Asia, the Bali Reggae Star Festival (BRSF), will be back this year on 7-8 September 2019, at Mertasari Beach, Sanur. On its 5th year, Bali Reggae Star Festival will be themed Konser Pancasila (the state ideology).
“We are raising this theme as a real form of the reggae community to spread the values of Pancasila in everyday life,” said Toni Q, one of the musicians who will perform at BRSF 2019, at a press conference in Sanur on Sunday.
In addition to spreading the values of Pancasila, the festival which will be packaged in the form of a charity event, also to spread environmental awareness to the musicians and its spectators. As a form of realization, BRSF will also hold beach cleanup activity, a talk show about the environment and the release of tukik (baby turtle) to the ocean.
Besides, this festival will also make trash can which will be placed on beaches in Bali.
Bali Reggae Star Festival 2019 to feature 22 musicians. Some famous Indonesian musicians who will perform include Toni Q, Joni Agung and Double T, Marapu and many more.
“There are also reggae musicians from Malaysia, the Philippines and Australia who will perform. For the name, we will keep it a secret for a while,” said Ngurah Agung.
Thousands of people are expected to attend this international festival. In addition to the music stage, visitors also will find F&B booths, community booths, and various other activities.
At the Press Conference, Ida Bagus Raka Wisnu as the Sanur village head confirmed his full support to the event and hoping this festival can bring a positive impact on Sanur tourism.
