NUSA DUA, Bali (BPN) – Accor Hotels Bali & Lombok introduced Linens for Life, a social program that utilizing the hotel’s linen which already unused, but still in good shape. This program aimed to support the poor and at the same time empowers the community and gives them hope for a brighter future.
Linens for Life also to support The Street Center which has been established by the Bali Life Foundation. The foundation’s goal is to bring women and children out of poverty by giving them education, school, and activities to help them start a new life.
In the program, the community was trained twice in a week to create a variety of products from unused hotel linen. These products are expected to contribute to their daily lives, which will make them escape poverty.
The results of the ‘artworks’ that have been made were exhibited exclusively through the “Passion” fashion show at the Gala Dinner and fundraising event at Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua, on March 23, 2019.
The event also featured collections from the Woman Street Center foundation, where these collections are available for sale or auction to the guests.
Fund raised from the event will be used by Accor Hotels Bali & Lombok to support various other social activities throughout Indonesia.
