DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – Deputy Chairman of Bali COVID-19 Task Force Dewa Made Indra announced 13 new confirmed cases as of Friday, May 8, bringing the total number to 300.
“There are 13 new confirmed cases. All are Indonesian consist of seven migrant workers (PMI) and six local transmissions,” Dewa Indra said on his official statement in Denpasar, Friday.
Dewa Indra also announced 12 additional recoveries, bringing the total number to 195. “The additional 12 recoveries consist of five PMI and seven non-PMI,” he said while adding there’s no new report on death case, and remained four.
The number of confirmed patients under treatment (active cases) amounting to 101 treated at 10 hospitals and quarantines sites in Bali.
“Most of the confirmed cases in Bali are from the imported case. While local transmission reaches 114 people,” Dewa Indra explained.
Nationally, Indonesia recorded 336 new confirmed cases, bringing the total number to 13,112.
The government spokesperson for COVID-19 Achmad Yurianto also announced 113 recoveries as of Friday, bring the total patients that have recovered to 2,494.
As for the death toll, there are 13 additional deaths, bringing the total fatalities to 943.
