Denpasar Government Prepares Five Hotels as Quarantine Sites for Migrant Workers

DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – The Denpasar City Government is preparing five hotels for Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) from Denpasar who have arrived in Bali. This policy is not just applied to PMI, but also to those who came from other regions in Indonesia. The five hotels with 400 rooms will be used as quarantine sites for 14 days

Spokesperson of the Denpasar COVID-19 Task Force I Dewa Gede Rai said, the decision to use the hotel as quarantine sites is taken to cut the risk the spread of COVID-19 in the community.

“After this, a PMI is no longer allowed to carry out self-quarantine in their house because it is too risky. Once they arrive, they will be taken to the hotel then undergo a rapid test and swab test. If any of them tested positive for COVID-19, they will immediately be taken to a hospital,” he explained, as quoted from a press release, on Wednesday.
