DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – Daily Chairman of Bali COVID-19 Control and Prevention Dewa Made Indra announced the number of COVID-19 confirmed cases increased by six as of Tuesday, April 14, bringing the total number to 92.
“There are six new confirmed cases, which three are from imported cases, two local transmissions, and one person still under investigation,” he said.
Dewa Indra also announced that there was an additional one person who recovered, bringing the total to 21, while the number of patients who died remained 2.
Overall, the number of confirmed cases in Bali is dominated by imported cases, whereas to date there are 10 cases of local transmission.
This means that there are still people who do not follow the instructions to prevent COVID-19, such as wearing face masks, wash hands, physical distancing and others.
Related to the questions of why the government has not yet closed Ngurah Rai Airport and the ports in Bali, Dewa Indra explained that it is the authority of the Central Government.
Therefore, what Bali can do is to tighten the entrance of Bali to cut the spread of COVID-19 cases caused by imported cases.
