The Art of Sleep, held by Lazy Lowie at The Ambengan Tenten, on Thursday (11 July 2024).

DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – Lazy Lowie hosted its exclusive PR event, “The Art of Sleep,” which marks a significant milestone in its mission to revolutionize how people experience sleep and is dedicated to celebrating the art and knowledge of quality sleep.

At the event held at The Ambengan Tenten, Denpasar, Bali on Thursday (July 11, 2024), Sleep Expert Yohana Raharjo said that for a healthier life, human bodies should align with their environment, from waking up to resting at night.

Yohana stated that the ideal sleep duration is eight hours, ideally starting no later than 11 PM.

“From the Chinese medicine perspective, certain organs are active at specific times. The crucial time for sleep is between 11 PM and 1 AM that is the gallbladder’s time, and from 1 AM to 3 AM, it’s the liver’s time,” Yohana explained.

Yohana further pointed out that many people struggle to sleep due to an inability to control their minds. Therefore, finding something to focus on is important.

“My best advice is to focus on your breath, inhale and exhale. Count your breaths backward from 100 to 0,” she suggested.

Also present at the event was dr. Henry Luis provided medical insights into the benefits of quality sleep and how to improve sleep patterns.

He emphasized that poor sleep quality adversely affects physical, mental, and emotional health.

“Moreover, poor sleep quality directly impacts cardiovascular health, and heart conditions, and can lead to acute conditions such as stroke and diabetes. Metabolism, hormonal balance, and immune system are disrupted, making the body more susceptible to infections, cancer, and other illnesses,” Henry stated.

Henry explained that several factors influence sleep quality, including the environment, mattresses, and pillows.

“To achieve good sleep quality, it’s not just about sleep hygiene but also about the environment and ambiance,” Henry said.

Henry recommended using a mattress with a texture that isn’t hard or too soft. For pillows, he advised using ones that suit an individual’s posture.

Ronald Kloppenburg, the founder of Lazy Lowie, an innovative mattress company, highlighted that this event focuses on the latest trends and innovations in sleep technology and underscores the importance of obtaining quality sleep daily.

“Lazy Lowie is committed to providing the best sleep solutions through our carefully crafted products. We want everyone, no matter who they are, to experience exceptional and refreshing sleep quality,” Ronald remarked.
