SANUR, Bali (BPN/PR) – Scholars of Sustenance (SOS) held their first big flea market at the Sanur Club on Sunday, August 7, 2022. The event was held as a combination of donation and awareness.
The purposes of the flea market are to bring awareness to the community about recycling great stuff that is still nice and suitable to use to avoid waste and to collect funds to feed the people who are in need.
Based on the big success, the flea market is not going to be a one-time thing, it will be held regularly every first Sunday of the month.
Entries for visitors are free, and they can buy great things that have been donated for the support of SOS. Anyone who’s interested in selling their great stuff can contact SOS for more information.
The buying is not only made on the spot but also online. People from Bekasi (West Java) and Jakarta joined in and bought a lot of great stuff that is still fit to use.
Just like one of the visions of SOS, is to create food equity in society, where good nutritious food can be accessed by people regardless of their status.
