Scholars of Sustenance Indonesia Opens the SOS Jakarta

JAKARTA (BPN/PR) – Scholars of Sustenance (SOS) Indonesia announced the opening of their new branch in Jakarta, Indonesia. The office, located at Jalan Benda Raya No. 14A, RT4/RW4, Cilandak, Ps. Minggu, South Jakarta, will operate the same as SOS Bali, to pick up good quality surplus food and redistribute it to the underprivileged around Jakarta, and also on disaster relief efforts.

Since its establishment, Scholars of Sustenance has been dedicated to creating food equity in society, believing that everyone regardless of status and income should have access to nutritious food.

This expansion is essential for achieving this goal, as it will allow them to expand its reach and help even more people.

The opening of the new branch in Jakarta is a significant milestone for SOS. The organization has been operating in Bali since 2016, and this expansion shows its commitment to the cause.

SOS has already made a significant impact in Bali, and the team is confident that they will be able to replicate that success in Jakarta.

Scholars of Sustenance is the biggest surplus food rescue in South East Asia and operates in three countries already, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

They collect surplus food from hotels, restaurants, retailers, and manufacturers, then distribute it to those in need.

The organization has a team of dedicated staff who work tirelessly to ensure that the food is of high quality and reaches the people who need it the most.

With the opening of the new branch in Jakarta, SOS Indonesia is looking to build partnerships with local businesses.
