
JAKARTA (BPN) – Indonesian President Joko Widodo officially inaugurated Wayan Koster and Tjokorda Artha Ardhana Sukawati (Cok Ace) as the Governor of Bali and Deputy for the 2018-2023 Period. The inauguration took place at the Merdeka Palace together with the other elected governors and deputy from the 2018 regional election, on Wednesday, September 5.
Quoted from the release of Humas (PR) of Bali Government, the Governor and Deputy Governor of Bali were inaugurated together with eight other pairs, namely South Sulawesi, North Sumatra, Southeast Sulawesi, Central Java, West Kalimantan, East Nusa Tenggara, Papua and West Java.
After the inauguration, Wayan Koster said one of his initial priorities is to realize Bali clean of plastic waste and to organize waste management.
In addition, considering that the IMF-World Bank meeting will soon be held in Bali, he will support the central government so that the meeting can be held successfully and safely.
Regarding the bureaucracy, Koster said will implement a government system that is clean, transparent and accountable. “We will strengthen it with an adequate system so that it can run in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations,” he said.
Meanwhile Bali Deputy Governor Cok Ace added that Bali Government will manage the tourism sector in order to make it sustainable and become even better.
“It is how to manage Bali in one management so that the development of each regency is integrated and does not imitate each other,” he said.
