DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – Bali Governor Made Mangku Pastika received the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China Gou Houdong at the Bali Governor’s Office on Tuesday. Gou Houdong has just started his duty in Denpasar replacing Hu Yinquan.
Gou Houdong said that he is very interested in the culture and natural beauty of Bali. He realizes the relationship between China and Bali has grown very well. One of the indicators is that China currently already replaced Australia as the country with the most tourists visiting Bali.
Consul Gou Houdong believes there are more potential cooperation that can be extracted between Bali and China. “I will make a research to get to know the culture of Bali better and so I can introduce it to the Chinese people,” he said.
In fact he already has an idea to develop a drama that combines Balinese culture with Chinese. Gou also hopes to learn more about how the Balinese can live in a harmonious culture.
Meanwhile Bali Governor Made Mangku Pastika hoped that good relationships that have been created can continue to grow better. According to Pastika, Bali itself already has sister province relationship program with two provinces in China.
Pastika said that his side will be happy to introduce Bali to Consul General Gou Houdong to know more about Bali, such as about the existence of Desa Pakraman or the village system in Bali.
