KUTA, Bali (BPN) – The Bali Sales and Marketing Community (BASCOMM) hosted a full-day workshop on digital marketing titled “Revolutionizing Hospitality: Embracing Digital Transformation for Growth”.
The workshop held on Wednesday (24 July 2024) at the Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel, focused on maximizing social media and digital marketing strategies to benefit the hotel and tourism industries in Bali and beyond.
“Digital marketing and social media play a crucial role in boosting and sustaining Indonesia’s tourism industry. Utilizing these channels effectively, in collaboration with key opinion leaders (KOLs) or influencers, is a must for destination promotion,” said R. Wisnu Sindhutrisno, Director of Tourism Marketing Asia Pacific for the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.
The event presented renowned speakers including Aldo Rambie, Head of Industry-Indonesia for Meta Indonesia; Alfiana Pontoh, Co-Founder of AITI Media; and Kamesh Shukla, Executive Vice President Sales, Asia Pacific for RateGain.
Over 300 participants, including hotel owners, marketing directors, tourism professionals, and industry leaders, gathered to gain valuable insights into the ever-evolving digital marketing and social media landscape and its impact on the hospitality sector.
Gufron, CHA, Director at Alpa Hotel Management (AHM) and Advisor to BASCOMM, praised the workshop, saying, “I found it very informative and helpful. Digital marketing and social media utilization are vital for the success of our hospitality industry nowadays.”
