DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – Bali recorded another spike in one-day COVID-19 cases as of Friday, June 19. Deputy Chairman of Bali COVID-19 Task Force Dewa Made Indra announced 81 new confirmed cases, bringing the total number to 976.
“There are 81 new cases today, consist of 11 returning migrant workers and 70 local transmissions,” Dewa Indra said in Denpasar, Friday.
The highest number of new cases is recorded in Denpasar with 54 cases, followed by Klungkung 13 cases, Bangli 3 cases, Gianyar 3 cases, Tabanan 3 cases, Badung 2 cases, Karangasem 2 cases, and Jembrana 1 case.
Besides, Dewa Indra also announced 13 new recoveries, including one foreigner, bringing the total number to 566.
“Fatalities remain six people. As for active cases amounting to 404. They are being treated at 11 hospitals and quarantined in Bali,” he explained.
Nationally, Indonesia recorded 1,041 new confirmed cases as of Friday, bringing the total number of COVID-19 patients to 43,803.
The government spokesperson for COVID-19 Achmad Yurianto also announced 551 new recoveries across the country, bringing the total recoveries patients from COVID-19 to 17,349.
While fatalities increased by 34, bringing the total number to 2,373.
