KUTA, Bali (BPN) – Registration for Miss Universe Indonesia 2023 is now officially open in a number of provinces in Indonesia. For the Bali audition, online registration already starts in April 2023.
“Registration is open until May 15, 2023. In addition, there will also be roadshows of on-the-spot registration at two colleges and one shopping center in Bali,” said Sally Giovanny, Director of Miss Universe Bali 2023 during the Grand Launching of Miss Universe Indonesia Bali at The Keranjang Bali, Kuta, Monday (4/10/2023).
Sally, also the owner of The Keranjang Bali, stated that the registration roadshows would be held on April 12, followed by an offline audition to select 20 contestants. While the Final Miss Universe Indonesia Bali is to take place on June 3, 2023.
The winner from each province will compete at the national stage to be crowned Miss Universe Indonesia 2023.
The participants who pass the audition, Sally continued, will take part in a Boot Camp that includes independent training such as catwalk, modeling, communication skills, and Public Speaking.
Regarding the criteria, Sally explained that the beauty pageant contest seeks a woman who is not only attractive but also intelligent and well-mannered.
“However, Balinese women with exceptional talents, like singing or dancing, will also get added value,” she explained, adding that the minimum height requirement is 168 cm and for the age range of 18-27 years.
Sally Giovanny said that she would work hard to develop the talents of Balinese women to become a nation’s representative at the World level.
Sally Giovanny promised to put in a lot of effort to help Balinese women develop their talents so they could represent the country on a global scale.
“It is hoped that the participants will be able to highlight the beauty that is not just from the outer appearance, but also includes personality, attitude, and intellectual abilities that emerge from the various beauties and ethnicities in Bali,” she said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Bali Tourism Office Tjok Bagus Pemayun, who was also present at the launch, hoped that the finalists would be able to compete, especially in promoting Bali tourism.
