DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – Bali Governor Wayan Koster issued Instructions on strengthening the COVID-19 prevention and handling on the island. The newly released instruction No. 8551 of 2020 is addressed to regional administrations and a number of related parties to the restrictions on community activities.
The instructions included provisions to strengthen the restrictions on people’s activities outdoor, by study, work, and pray at home.
“Teaching and learning activities for elementary school up to high school students are carried out online at home,” the governor stated in his instructions, released Thursday.
The instruction also strengthened the restriction, by closing tourism objects, nightly entertainment, and the ban on crowd events.
Restrictions on traditional and religious activities will be carried out at home. In the case of traditional and religious activities which must be carried out outside, should only involving a maximum of 25 people with physical distance, and clean and healthy behaviors.
The governor added, the instruction also strengthen the restrictions on travel in and out of Bali with the exemptions it can only be done for very urgent matters or foreign nationals who will return to their country.
The exemption is also given to logistics transportation, health service, security, and official duties of the central and local administrations.
The Governor also pleaded to Balinese who live in other regions in Indonesia, to stay put and for the time being not to return to Bali.
“I invite everyone, to continue to pray to God Almighty that this pandemic will end soon,” he concluded.
