NUSA DUA, Bali (BPN) – The Bali Fashion Trend (BFT) 2019 officially opened and will last for three days starting from 7-9 November 2019 at Inaya Putri Bali, Nusa Dua, Bali. Themed Spring-Summer, BFT 2019 features sustainable fashion and recommends designers to use natural materials.
This was revealed by Ali Charisma, Chairman of the Indonesia Fashion Chamber at a press conference ahead of the opening of the 2019 Bali Fashion Trend on Wednesday.
“The concept of BFT 2019 is to achieve a sustainable fashion show and designers to use natural fiber. This will change the perspective of clothing in the future,” he said.
BFT is also projected to be the biggest fashion show in Bali, so this time there are quite a lot of international designers invited.
“Besides that, we also have a goal to make BFT as the place where big brands from Bali and Indonesia start. And we dream that these brands can grow bigger and go international so foreigners can come and buy here,” he said.
Ali added, this is what distinguishes BFT 2019 from its previous years, namely with a wider international network.
“At the moment, there are already lots of fashion actors and overseas buyers who have collaborated with local designers. Hopefully, in 2020 this event can become a fashion event as well as a trade event,” Ali hoped.
