DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – Deputy Chairman of Bali COVID-19 Task Force Dewa Made Indra announced 23 new confirmed cases as of Friday, May 29, bringing the total number to 443.
“There are 23 new cases today. All are Indonesian citizens, consist of 12 returning migrant workers (PMI) and 11 local transmissions,” Dewa Indra said in Denpasar, Friday.
Dewa Indra also announced six new recoveries, bringing the total number of patients who have recovered to 320.
“The number of patients under treatment (active cases) amounting to 119. They are being treated at eight hospitals and quarantined in Bali,” he said.
Dewa Indra explained most of the confirmed cases are dominated by imported cases. While local transmissions have reached 193.
COVID-19 cases in Indonesia have reached 25,216, as of Friday, after an additional of 678 new confirmed cases.
The government spokesperson for COVID-19 Achmad Yurianto also announced 252 new recoveries, bringing the total number to 6,492.
As for the death toll, Yuri announced 24 new deaths, bringing the total number of fatalities to 1,520.
