CANGGU, Bali (BPN) – The Indonesian Bartenders Association (HBI) held a bartender competition titled “The H Day” High Skill, High Art & High Quality, Mixology Competition 2023, on Monday, April 17, 2023.
In the event that took place at the W Atlas Superclub Bali, Dimas Rio Gaku from The Social Seminyak managed to emerge as the winner.
The event was followed by 20 participants from all over Bali, where the 1st and 2nd place winners will represent Bali in the grand final.
This competition is also held in five major cities in Indonesia, namely Surabaya, Semarang, Jakarta, Bandung, and Bali.
“After Bali, the competition will be held in Surabaya, Semarang, Bandung, and Jakarta. The first and second place winners in each city will advance to the final round to win the title of The H Day Mixology Competition in 2023,” said Putu Widhiantara, the event’s Committee.
Agung Darmawan, one of the judges and HBI Advisor, said that the event involved professional bartenders from all over Bali and one participant from Labuan Bajo.
In the competition, participants were given a maximum of 8 minutes from preparation to presentation.
In addition, Agung said that his party wants to produce quality bartenders who are able to compete at the international level.
Besides Dimas Rio Gaku who emerged as the winner, this event also presented Gusti Ngurah Gde Jimmy (Savaya Bali) in second place, and I Putu Aris Septiawan (The Shady Fox) as the third.
