DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – Foreign tourist arrivals to Bali have continued to increase. Bali Tourism Office recorded 2 million foreign tourists visiting the Island of Gods until December 25, 2022.
Head of Bali Tourism Office Tjok Bagus Pemayun said in December 2022, the average number of foreign nationals entering Bali through Ngurah Rai airport was 12,281 people per day. A 14 percent increase compared to November 2022 of 9,809 per day.
While the average number in a year, in 2022, the highest daily average was also in December and October with 10,090 people.
“The number of foreign nationals to Bali through I Gusti Ngurah Rai airport from January 2022 to December 25, 2022, reached 2,124,226 people,” said Tjok Bagus Pemayun, Wednesday (12/28/2022).
He also admitted that the G20 Summit in November had a significant effect on the increasing number of visits to Bali. The success of the event shows Bali is safe to visit.
Meanwhile, the average daily number of domestic passengers entering Bali through Bali airport from 1 – 25 December 2022 was 14,339 people per day, whereas in November it only reached 11,281 people per day on average.
“Balinese people’s activities have also been running normally. Cultural activities also have normally been running so that tourists are very interested in; the beautiful culture, traditions, and daily life of the Balinese people, which are the main attraction of Bali tourism,” he said.
To maintain this positive trend, Tjok Bagus Pemayun hopes that all parties will collectively preserve public order, security, comfort, and safety in year-end celebrations.
In addition, all parties must continue to implement the health protocols so that there is no increase in Covid-19 cases.
“All parties must comply with all applicable laws and regulations so that Bali will always be safe and comfortable, to take care of the positive image of Bali tourism,” he said.
