CANGGU, Bali (BPN) – FRii Hotel Bali Echo Beach has received New Normal certification from Bali Tourism Office, which means the hotel located in Canggu has the proper health protocols for its guest and staff.
The certification for the implementation of the new normal is a program of the Bali Tourism Office by collaborating with tourism associations such as PHRI, to adapt to situations and conditions during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The verification process at FRii Hotel Bali Echo Beach was conducted on October 14, 2020, for the CHS (Cleanliness, Health, Safety) Program. The verification process is carried out by focusing on three aspects, namely Products, Services, and Management.
To the verification team, Moh. Hasan Bisri, the Hotel Manager of FRii Hotel Bali Echo Beach, explained there are several aspects that are very important to FRii Hotel Bali Echo Beach during this pandemic and are expected to be sustainable not only in the present.
“The First is Prioritizing Product Aspects, such as providing a place for washing hands, hand sanitizer in a place that is easily visible to guests and employees, a body temperature measuring device, an appeal for the use of masks and other health protocols and cashless payment system,” said Moh. Hasan Bisri.
The Second, he continued, has a service aspect related to the CHS program, such as checking the body temperature both for guests and for employees, spraying disinfectant every 4 hours, and avoiding physical contact in performing services towards guests.
The Third aspect is Practicing Sustainable Hospitality Operations. Moh. Hasan Bisri explained that this talks about operational governance that pays attention to the aspects of environmental, cultural, social community preservation with the aim that activities can harmonize with sustainable efforts.
“For example in restaurant management and room occupancy rates, which is in accordance with the physical distancing rules. Besides, it also pays attention to the application of the green hotel concept, management of liquid, solid, and food waste,” he explained.
Moh. Hasan Bisri explained that the new normal for the Hospitality industry creates its own challenges as well as creates new opportunities.
“This new way of thinking must pay attention to several factors, namely a high level of creativity, adaptability, innovation, and responsiveness to all situations. With these collaborations, it is hoped that it can become a turning point for the revival of the hospitality industry and other industries from difficult times,” he said.
At the end of the assessment, the Verification Team announced that FRii Hotel Bali Echo Beach has been certified as a tourism accommodation that is ready and worthy of serving guests with the health protocols.
