Consul General of India Discusses Tourism Development with Bali Governor

DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – Bali Governor Wayan Koster received a visit from the Consul General of India Sunil Babu in his office, on Friday, September 21. This meeting discussed issues in tourism and education.

As quoted from the press release of the government’s PR Department, Sunil Babu said there are quite a number of Indian tourists coming to Bali. This is supported by the policy of the Indian government which issued free visas and did not issue travel advisories when Mount Agung erupted and the Lombok quake.

“I always make sure that Bali is in a safe, normal condition,” Babu said.

This meeting also resulting the sister city cooperation between Bali and Uttara Khan Province, India.

Bali Governor Wayan Koster welcomed and appreciated the rapidly developing relations between India and Bali in the field of tourism and education. Koster hoped Bali’s tourism promotion in India continues to increase the number of Indian tourists visiting Bali.

In addition, Koster also expected the cooperation in terms of scholarship in industry and technology education can take place in the near future.

On this occasion, the Consul General of India also specifically invited Governor Koster to the Kumbh Mela Festival which will be held January. This spiritual festival has three levels which are held every 144 years, once in 12 years and once in four years.
