BANGLI, Bali (BPN) – Mahasaraswati University together with the Department of Agriculture, Food Security and Fisheries provide branding and marketing assistance for red devil fish crackers.
One of the groups assisted by the Department of Agriculture, Food Security and Fisheries of Bangli Regency is Poklahsar Agung Boga Sari.
Poklahsar Agung Boga Sari, is a community empowerment business group, located in Banjar Penida Kelod, Tembuku Village, Tembuku District, Bangli, Bali, and has been established since April 2023.
The business is carried out in the field of fish processing business, especially fish processing made from Red Devil fish.
Currently, Poklahsar Agung Boga Sari has developed a fish processing business made from Red Devil pest fish in the form of crackers. Red devil fish is an invasive fish for the endemic fish of Lake Batur where red devil fish has a high protein content, reaching 35%.
The assistance provided by Mahasaraswati University Denpasar is one of the community partnership empowerments (PKM) programs funded by the Ministry of Research and Technology.
“My team and I hope that through this assistance, we can brand the red devil fish crackers product as a typical souvenir of Bangli and can be marketed widely,” said Dr. Ida ayu Made Dwi Susanti, lecturer of the Faculty of Agriculture and Business, Mahasaraswati University Denpasar.
The assistance is in the form of making packaging, logo, Instagram page, and business Facebook.
“Because of the abundant raw materials in Lake Batur, red devil fish crackers have the potential to be developed into other fish-based products that can be used as souvenir products,” she continued.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of Poklahsar Agung Boga Sari Anak Agung Rai Harmoni expressed his gratitude to the team leader Dr. Ida Ayu made dwi Susanti S.P., M.Agb, along with its members Ir. I Made Budiasa, M.Agb and Dr. Agus Wahyudi salasa Gama, S.E., M.M for the assistance provided, both in the form of machines and assistance.
“Now with the assistance provided we can produce more and better quality products,” she concluded.
