DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – Bali Governor Wayan Koster asked for facilitation related to the ban on Ramadhan homecoming exodus (mudik) during the COVID-19 pandemic. This was stated by the governor at a teleconference meeting with the National COVID-19 Handling and Prevention Team on Sunday.
Koster’s expectation considering that there are thousands of people from other provinces who worked in Bali, and currently facing a difficult situation.
“For those who are jobless and homeless, they should be permitted to return to their hometown. Especially those who have had letters from the Bali COVID-19 Team,” Koster said.
At the meeting, Governor Koster also reported that in addition to the Sanglah Hospital, the Bali team is preparing additional facilities for the Swab test at the Udayana University Hospital and the Warmadewa University.
For this reason, Koster has sent a letter to the Ministry of Health and hopes that the request for equipment completeness can be realized soon.
“This is important because additional Swab test facilities will increase the number of samples that can be tested while shortening the time (to see the result),” the governor said.
Regarding the Bali Governor’s report, Chairman of the National COVID-19 Team Doni Monardo stated, for the Swab test facilities will be immediately followed up.
While for people who want to travel home, Doni Monardo said that he will coordinate it with the port administration in East Java.
