SANUR, Bali (BPN) – The inaugural Bali Meat Park: Bali’s first-ever barbecue and music festival, successfully attracted thousands of visitors to Taman Inspirasi Muntig Siokan in Sanur, Denpasar, on Saturday (September 14, 2024).

The Bali Meat Park: Bali’s first-ever barbecue and music festival, presented a feast for meat lovers with delicious barbecue and vibrant live music performances set against Bali’s stunning landscape.

According to Mauro, Co-Founder of Bali Meat Park, this festival is the first of its kind in Bali and Indonesia, combining barbecue and music.

“We decided to hold this event in Bali because there is no better place. We have beaches, beautiful people, and very relaxing places,” he explained after the opening.

The event invited 22 of the best vendors from across Bali, as well as five renowned beverage vendors in Bali’s tourism industry, and aims to put the Bali Barbecue & Music Festival on the map by showcasing a diverse array of expertly grilled meats prepared by top chefs and pitmasters from around the globe.

Visitors could enjoy a variety of mouthwatering dishes, from succulent ribs, seafood and tender brisket to exotic Balinese meat specialties.

“Our mission is to create a memorable experience that celebrates the joy of great barbecue and the power of music,” said Mauro. “We are excited to bring this unique festival to Bali and provide a platform for cultural exchange and community celebration.”

Mauro explained that Bali Meat Park is also a music celebration. The festival offers a rich musical experience, with performances spanning various genres including rock, blues, swing, R&B, and reggae. This blend of flavors and sounds creates a unique atmosphere that captures the essence of Bali.

“The music concept features the most popular musicians or bands in Bali,” he revealed.

In addition, the festival is also aimed to give back to the community, with Bali Meat Park donating 10 percent of ticket sales to Casa Vida – Rumah Kehidupan Foundation, a local charity dedicated to supporting vulnerable children and families in Bali.

This contribution supports the valuable work of Casa Vida, allowing festival attendees to make a positive impact.

The Bali Meat Park Festival is more than just a barbecue and music event; it brings people together and builds a strong community, benefiting both attendees and local businesses long after the event.

Mauro hopes the festival will become an annual event held in different locations and attract even more visitors, thereby advancing local communities and businesses.

“This year we only held it for one day. Next year, we hope to extend it to two days with even more visitors,” he concluded.
