Herborist Bali Fashion Carnival 2022, an Event to Revive Bali’s Economy and Tourism

TABANAN, Bali (BPN) – Indonesia’s well-known designers and models will gather in Bali in a grand fashion show titled Bali Fashion Carnival 2022. The event, which will be held from June to July 2022 at Secret Garden Village, Tabanan, carries the themes #BaliBangkit and #itstimeforbali.

The Bali Fashion Carnival is held by PT Victoria Care Indonesia Tbk (VICI) through the Herborist brand in collaboration with Yongki Model Management (YMM) Organizer, and it is expected to be part to lift Bali’s economy and tourism.

“Herborist Bali Fashion Carnival 2022 is to support the revival of Bali’s tourism, which has been slumped for two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Hopefully, this event can contribute to reviving Bali’s MSMEs and economy,” said Yongki Perdana, Founder of YMM Organizer at a press conference on Tuesday (29/3/2022).

Yongki explained, 20 well-known designers will take part in the Bali Fashion Carnival including Tjok Abi, Inggri Kendan, Subarqa Benz, to House of Hasto, and will involve 40 models.

Yongki hopes that this event can be a momentum to show the world that Bali is safe. Moreover, the G20 Meetings will also be held in Bali this year.

Meanwhile, Sumardi Widjaja, Director of Operations of PT Victoria Care Indonesia Tbk explained, through the theme #BaliBangkit and #itstimeforbali, this event is expected to attract not only Indonesians but also international tourists to come and travel to Bali.

“Through the #BaliBangkit and #itstimeforbali movements, Herborist as a brand inspired by Bali, has also moved to invite the Indonesian people to love the culture of their own country and to improve Bali’s economy by reviving the tourism sector and the creative economy,” said Sumardi Widjaja.

Anton Thedy, Operational Director of PT Natura Pesona Mandiri (NPM) which oversees Secret Garden Village, explained that this event is held to increase the interest of local and foreign tourists to visit Bali.

“Fashion is chosen because it is universal, unique, and can attract a lot of people. In addition, fashion shows can also raise new creative talents in Indonesia. This event also displays not only elements of Balinese culture, but also ethnicities from all over Indonesia,” Anton added.

He added that the Herborist Bali Fashion Carnival is planned to be held annually for the next few years to continue to increase tourist interest in traveling back to Bali.
