UBUD, Bali (BPN) – For the last two years, the pandemic has limited people’s movement, which one of them to enjoy the culinary delights here in Bali. One of the dishes to be missed is the delicious duck of Ubud.
And if you missed this dish, now you can enjoy the special menu while enjoying Ubud’s stunning-green view at The Kayon Jungle Resort, which just launched its signature menu named Juicy Bebek Kayon – the Kayon’s Juicy Duck, on Saturday (22/1/2022).
“Juicy Bebek Kayon is served with Urab (vegetables served with shredded coconut), and rice with an authentic taste, typical of Ubud. The menu is also served with 3 types of Sambal (chili sauces), namely Sambal Bawang (chili sauces with fried onion), Sambal Ijo (green chili sauce), and Sambal Matah (Balinese chili condiment),” said Wayan Sucitra, General Manager of the Kayon Hotels and Resorts.
This new menu will not disappoint its consumers. The texture on the outside of the fried duck is so crispy, but when you bite it, the inside is very soft.
The taste is also very satisfying, created by two of Kepitu Restaurant’s Chefs, namely Chef Nyoman Artawa and Chef Gung Alit, this Juicy Duck has a distinctive taste because of the seasoning seeps into the duck meat. Its combination with three types of chili sauces will make you addicted to Kayon’s Juicy Duck.
“Before the launching, we have introduced this menu to our customers. To date, we can sell 15 (portions) per day,” said Wayan Sucitra.
This signature menu is available at Kepitu Restaurant which can be found in two locations, namely at The Kayon Jungle Resort and The Kayon Resort Ubud.
Wayan Sucitra explained, the idea of this menu originally comes from the owner Putu Suryawan who wanted to have something special, not just people staying at the hotel or eating food that is also available in other hotels.
“Hopefully in the future, it can become a well-known signature dish and will be famous like other duck culinary out there,” he explained.
The Kayon Jungle Resort is one of the best resorts in Ubud, located in Brasela Village, Payangan, about 25 minutes from Ubud.
The resort has received various awards such as Winner World Luxury Hotels Award and Winner Indonesia Travel and Tourism Award.
Having 2 restaurants, a pool, bar, and SPA makes The Kayon Jungle Resort one of the resorts that are in demand by local and foreign tourists.
