Those people, according to Sita, were just like in a race to dig as much information as possible on how and when she got infected. She was then frustrated to see the case broadcasted on TVs and published in the newspaper, or online media.

After that, Sita continued, the recovery process seemed vain. She felt lost and her condition dropped. Until she decided to avoid TV, social media or stopped using any communication devices. That’s when she realized there’re only two choices on how to face the virus; thinking in negative or positive ways.

“We have two choices. To see everything in negative or in positive ways,” she said.

Sita admitted that the mind was the biggest factor in her recovery process. A depression will weaken immunity which makes the body vulnerable. On the contrary, the body responded in a better way when someone keeps positive thinking.

“When I finally able to think positively and has the spirit to recover, I start doing things I like such as yoga, exercising, dancing, singing, and others,” she said.

On her time fighting the virus, she also received support from her family and friends. The support was really important for Sita since she was also fighting against depression.

After that, I decided to re-activate my social media accounts and changed my mindset to keep doing positive things, for my family and for my country Indonesia,” Sita revealed.

Sita explained by thinking positively and with the supports from her closest people, she finally recovered from COVID-19.

Sita hoped that people can together curb the spread of the virus by staying at home, follow the government advisories, and keep positive thinking.
