KUTA, Bali (BPN) – Indonesian Chef Association (ICA) of Badung branch held an extraordinary congress (muscablub) on Friday, at the Bali Dynasty Resort, Kuta. The congress also appointed Chef Nyoman Suastika as the new Chairman of the ICA BPC Badung from 2017 to 2022.
The muscablub also attended by Chef Henry Alexie Bloem (President of ICA), Chef Hendra Mahena (Chairman of ICA Bali Chapter), Chef Komang Adi Arsana (Vice President of ICA), Ida Bagus Purwa Sidemen (Executive Director of PHRI Bali ), Ida Bagus Parwata (Former Chairperson of ICA Bali) as well as members of ICA Bali Chapter and ICA Badung.
At the inauguration, Chef Suastika who also Executive Chef of Bali Dynasty Resort, said that he already has short-term and long-term programs for ICA Badung until his term ends in 2022.
“I will immediately carry out my vision and mission after being appointed as the Chairman of ICA BPC Badung and of course I will always communicate with ICA Bali,” said Chef Nyoman Suastika.
Chef Hendra Mahena, Chairman of ICA Bali Chapter said that the elected Chairman of ICA Badung should always communicate and synergize with the parent organization so that every activity carried out will be following the articles of the association by law.
Meanwhile, Chef Henry Alexie Bloem (President of ICA) also said the same thing, that the position obtained at ICA should not be misused for personal and group interests.
“If you are already in ICA, you must be prepared with the applicable rules and you dare to be responsible,” said Chef Henry.
Indonesia Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) of Bali Chapter also offers full supports for Chef Nyoman Suastika to make ICA Badung be better and more professional. This is because Badung regency as the barometer for tourism in Bali should have human resources with culinary expertise, so that Badung can become a quality tourism destination, especially in terms of culinary.
