DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – Bali recorded an additional 17 recovered patients as of Thursday, April 30, 2020, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 113, or 50.90 percent of the confirmed cases.
Besides, Deputy Chairman of Bali COVID-19 handling and prevention team Dewa Made Indra also announced seven new COVID-19 cased on the island.
“There are seven new confirmed cases today. Four of them are imported cases, and three local transmissions, bringing the total number to 222. And there’s no additional death,” Dewa Indra said in Denpasar, on Thursday.
Dewa Indra explained, from 222 confirmed cases, eight of them are foreigners and 214 Indonesians.
From the 214 Indonesians, he continued, 137 are imported cases, 20 got infected from other regions in Indonesia, and 57 local transmissions.
Dewa Indra hoping the community to be more disciplined in applying the government advisory such as wearing face masks, and keep physical distance, to curb the spread of the disease.
The Government of Indonesia as of Thursday recorded 347 new confirmed cases, bring the total number to 10,118.
The government spokesperson for COVID-19 Achmad Yurianto also announced 131 patients have recovered today, bringing the total number to 1,522.
“Most patients are people aged 30 to 59, reaching 54 percent of the total confirmed cases’ number,” Yuri said in Jakarta, Thursday.
Yuri further said, there are eight additional deaths, bringing the total death toll to 792.
Comorbidities still becoming the main factor of fatalities from COVID-19, such as hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, and lung disease.
