UBUD, Bali (BPN) – The Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) of Gianyar Regency held its Working Meeting (Rakercab) on Tuesday (January 21, 2025) at the Green Kubu Restaurant and Swing, Tegallalang, Gianyar.
PHRI Gianyar Chairman Gede Paskara Karilo expressed his enthusiasm and optimism for advancing tourism in Gianyar Regency.
Especially since Gianyar, particularly Ubud, is a destination that attracts tourists by relying on arts and culture.
“We are very enthusiastic about advancing tourism and how to deal with the developments that are happening. The atmosphere is different in each region of Bali,” said Paskara Karilo.
He hopes that the progress of tourism in Gianyar will not only be economic but will also be able to develop and be ethical through synergy and collaboration with the local government.
The 2025 PHRI Gianyar Rakercab was also combined with a Talk Show themed “Preserving Culture, Sustaining Nature The Future of Gianyar Tourism” attended directly by the Head of the Gianyar Tourism Office, Wayan Gede Sedana Putra, and around 50 PHRI Gianyar members.
The talk show discussed several challenges for Gianyar tourism, such as congestion, waste, and permits.
Paskara Karilo said that PHRI will always work hand-in-hand with the government in terms of human resource development and socialization from the government, especially in the fields of permits and regulations.
“Synergy and collaboration are very important. The challenges of tourism in the future must be resolved. The most important thing is permits,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Gianyar Tourism Office, I Wayan Gede Sedana Putra, expressed his appreciation for the implementation of the 2025 PHRI Gianyar working meeting to improve and advance tourism in Gianyar Regency.
He hopes that the synergy and collaboration between PHRI and the Government can be a medium for sharing information in the field of tourism because PHRI has members from tourism actors and practitioners who understand and are directly involved in the industry.
He said that the government together with tourism components, have worked hard to improve and develop quality tourism based on customs, culture, and nature.
“I believe that with experienced stakeholders as members of PHRI Gianyar, we will be able to create a quality tourism that can compete nationally and even worldwide,” said Gede Sedana Putra.
