APPI and the Indonesian Tourism Ministry to Organize Europe Sales Mission Promoting Bali and Beyond’s Rich Tourism Offerings

DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – The Aliansi Promosi Pariwisata Indonesia (APPI), also known as the Indonesia Tourism Promotion Alliance, will embark on a strategic Europe Sales Mission from 22 – 28 February 2026. 

The initiative aims to strengthen Indonesia’s position in the European market by showcasing the country’s premier destinations, including Bali, Labuan Bajo, Lombok, and the stunning Gili Islands.

The mission will be held in three key European cities: Amsterdam (the Netherlands), Düsseldorf, and Stuttgart (Germany)—recognized as among Europe’s most affluent and high-potential outbound travel markets.

APPI has successfully secured participation from leading industry buyers, including representatives from prominent travel companies such as DERTOUR Group, Meiers Weltreisen, Travel Counsellors, Talisman,  333TRAVEL, TUI Netherlands, TUI Deutschland, Tischler Reisen, Alltours, De Jong Intra Vakanties, Smaragd Reizen, and Explorer Fernreisen, along with numerous established European partners who actively promote Indonesia.

Each city event is expected to welcome more than 60 qualified buyers, creating valuable B2B networking  opportunities and strengthening strategic partnerships between Indonesian tourism stakeholders and European travel operators.

A total of 26 delegates from 20 distinguished Indonesian hotels, resorts, villas, and accommodation providers will participate in the mission, presenting their unique products and experiences directly to the European market.

The program is officially supported by the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia, demonstrating the government’s strong commitment to accelerating sustainable tourism growth.

Singapore Airlines, recognized as one of the world’s leading airlines, will further support the initiative by offering a grand prize of return tickets to Bali at each city event. 

This partnership highlights Singapore Airlines’ vital role in connecting major cities across Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, and Asia to Bali, enhancing global accessibility to Indonesia.

The Sales Mission is also expected to be attended by distinguished representatives, including the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia in Amsterdam, as well as officials from the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Düsseldorf and Stuttgart. 

Beyond commercial engagement, the mission will serve as a platform to promote Indonesia’s rich cultural heritage, diverse traditions, breathtaking natural landscapes, and the renowned warmth of its hospitality.

This initiative precedes the prestigious ITB Berlin 2026, the world’s leading travel trade shows, scheduled for 3–5 March 2026.

Indonesian tourism stakeholders will continue their engagement with international buyers at the Indonesia Pavilion, supported by the Ministry of Tourism, showcasing the nation’s diverse tourism potential on a global stage.

Europe remains a vital and sustainable source market for Indonesia, particularly for destinations such as Bali, Lombok, and Labuan Bajo. 

European travelers are known for longer stays and higher spending across accommodation, dining, wellness, cultural experiences, and premium services. 

With continued growth in European arrivals, this Sales Mission plays a crucial role in maintaining momentum and elevating Indonesia’s brand awareness in the region.

Founded in 2012, APPI is an independent alliance dedicated to promoting Indonesian tourism. 

Under the leadership of Gufron, CHA, and  Ida Bagus Kharisma Wijaya, APPI has actively conducted international promotional initiatives in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and regional tourism boards across Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and various European countries.
