Bali Sales and Marketing Community Holds Tourism Workshop for Australian and European Markets Updates

JIMBARAN, Bali (BPN/PR) Bali Sales and Marketing Community (BASCOMM) held a tourism workshop for Australian and European Markets updates at Four Points by Sheraton Bali, on Wednesday (9/28/2022). The event invited Melanie McTighe, Contracting Manager, Global Land Supply of Flight Center Travel Group Australia, and Jiri Panek, Product and Account Manager, Go Vacation Indonesia as speakers.

“Like our slogan; Remain Curious and Keep Learning, through this event, we aim to invite sales and marketing in Bali to remain updated towards the Australian and Europe Market for Bali’s tourism after the pandemic,” said Putu Arisudhiana, Chairman of BASCOMM.

Putu Arisudhiana explained that based on the data from the Statistic Agency (BPS) of Bali, travelers from Australia currently sit at top of the rank, and the European market, especially from Germany, is at seventh in the arrivals to Bali.

These are the main reason for BASCOMM to organize the tourism workshop considering the two main markets are big potential for Bali tourism.

As these two markets have enormous potential for Bali, BASCOMM invited two important experts to share their knowledge and insightful information about the Australian and Europe markets.

“This event is one of BASCOMM’s contributions to Bali’s tourism. We are hopeful of the recovery of Bali tourism, especially the Australian and European markets, and we hope the event brings some useful information to the tourism industry stakeholders,” Arisudhiana said.

The half-day workshop event was attended by nearly 500 participants from various tourism industries in Bali such as hotels, villas, resorts, and activity/tour package vendors.

“Flight Center Australia as the world’s largest global player for the Australian market and Go Vacation Indonesia with their largest market in Europe, especially Germany, are truly great travel partners for Bali, and we thank them for their presence at the event today and hope the market insights they have shared would bring benefits for our tourism stakeholders,” Putu Arisudhiana explained.

Arisudhiana stated that BASCOMM will continue to support Bali tourism by presenting various tourism workshops with special market highlights such as ASEAN, India, the Middle East, and other markets that have the potential for Bali tourism.
