UBUD, Bali (BPN) – Sthala, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Ubud Bali by Marriott International announces a special jazz event, “Evening Melodies: A Dine with Balawan,” featuring a performance by the legendary Balinese guitarist, Balawan, and his group, Batuan Ethnic Fusion.
Guests are invited to an unforgettable night of music and buffet dinner, celebrating the fusion of traditional and modern sounds.
The event, which takes place on Balinese’s Sarasvati Day on Saturday, 6 September 2025, holds a special significance.
Balawan, a pioneer of ethnic fusion music in Indonesia, sees a profound connection between music and the celebration of knowledge.
“I am excited to perform in Sthala, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Ubud Bali,” said Balawan. “Music is an endless knowledge, similar to Sarasvati, the goddess of knowledge.”
During his previous performances at the Sthala Ubud Village Jazz Festival, he hinted that he would bring his unique five-neck guitar to the show, promising an extraordinary display of his masterful technique.
“This is going to be my first time showing you my five-neck guitar performances. Please look forward to it,” added Balawan.
Lasta Arimbawa, the Multi-property General Manager of Sthala, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Ubud Bali, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration.
“We are very honored to present this event. Bringing together the talent of Balawan with our serene riverside setting is a truly unique experience we are delighted to offer our guests,” he said.

“We are curating the buffet menu so everyone can enjoy,” said Chef Aris. “It will be a feast for the senses, complementing the beautiful music.”
