Discovery Mall Bali hosts Bali Great Sale on Saturday, 6 December 2024.

KUTA, Bali (BPN) – Discovery Mall Bali is hosting the Bali Great Sale event involving Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) with discounts of up to 70 percent. In addition to boosting Bali’s MSMEs, the event is also to lift Bali tourism from another perspective, especially Shopping Tourism.

The Bali Great Sale has been held by the Indonesian Shopping Center Association (APBI) of Bali since 15 December 2023 and will last until 14 January 2024 at 11 shopping centers in Denpasar and Badung Regency, including Beachwalk Bali, Discovery Shopping Mall, Duta Plaza Denpasar, Level 21 Mall, Lippo Mall Kuta, Living World Denpasar, Plaza Renon, Samasta Lifestyle Village, Seminyak Village, Sidewalk Jimbaran, and Trans Studio Mall.

Rachmat Tanuhardja, General Manager of Discovery Mall Bali, hopes that the Bali Great Sale will be able to encourage the growth of the retail sector and MSMEs in Bali. At Discovery Mall itself, 35 MSME tenants have joined in the last 3 years.

From the tourism side, Rachmat continued, Discovery Mall Bali is also promoting Balinese culture, one of which is collaborating with an artist from Ubud, Wayan Sudarna Putra or Nano, to create a new beach icon called “Bali Asmarajagat” which is made from 100 percent recycled plastic.

In addition, the mall also hosts Balinese dance performances 3 times a week, including the Sunset Kecak.

“I’m hoping Kuta’s appeal as a tourism and creative industry destination could be enhanced by the Bali Great Sale and the arts and cultural activities. Let’s keep supporting Bali’s art and shopping tourism,” he said at Discovery Mall Bali on Saturday, December 6.

Meanwhile, Gita Sunarwulan, Chairperson of the APPBI Bali, said that the Bali Great Sale aims to encourage the growth and promotion of MSMEs in Bali.

“The event aims to encourage the growth and promotion of MSME products while improving the image of Indonesian shopping tourism, especially in Bali,” added Gita.

According to Gita, there are four main objectives of this event. Firstly, participating malls will provide exclusive discounts of up to 70 percent on various products.

The second is cultural events and entertainment that will heighten the festive atmosphere while shopping.

Next, MSMEs exhibitions at each participating mall. Fourth, there is a programme called Top Spenders, which awards shopping vouchers to the people who make the most weekly purchases during the Bali Great Sale.

“Then there’s the High Spenders programme, where the Bali Great Sale will reward customers with the highest spending with attractive prizes, including vouchers to stay at five-star hotels, precious metals, and iPhones,” said Gita.
