DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – Bali recorded 13 new confirmed cases as of Friday, May 1, bringing the total number to 235.

“There are 13 new cases today all are Indonesians, which consist of four Indonesia Migrant Workers (PMI), and nine local transmissions,” said Dewa Made Indra, the Deputy Chairman of Bali COVID-19 handling and prevention team, on Friday.

Besides, Dewa Indra also announced eight patients have recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number to 121.

“As for the number of patients under treatment amounting 114, they are treated at 10 referral hospitals and quarantine sites in Bali,” he said while adding there’s no new report on the death toll.

Nationally, the Indonesia Government recorded 433 new confirmed cases as of Friday, bringing the total number to 10,551.

The government spokesperson for COVID-19 Achmad Yurianto also announced the number of recovered patients increased by 69, bringing the total number to 1,591.

Besides, Yuri continued, the death toll increased by eight people, bringing the total number to 800.
